Location: Arlington, 22203 (Greenbrier Area, ~1mi from Grace)
About this Group:
Group focused on families of pre-/teens looking for time to connect while the teens are connecting (during youth group, though any families of pre/-teens are welcome regardless of if they attend youth group, just happened to be the time our daughter is at youth group).
We feel the correlation with what the church plans on studying in the Letter to the Ephesians is perfect for this group. What a great topic to cover as busy families, who are likely eager to find ways to stay rooted in purpose, connection, and faith themselves, while passing on that same desire for their teens as they navigate life transitions.
About the Leaders:
Dan and I are from the south so potlucks are the obligatory social gathering 😊 . . plus, it can be hard to find other times to meet, and providing dinner helps. (Though not a barrier to attendance). We also enjoyed doing a similar group when our children were toddlers and would love to connect with parents in our kid's age groups (2 daughters, ages 15 and 18 years). We also feel like this is one of the busiest, and sometimes most stressful times of childrearing, so it can be nice to connect with parents in a similar phase. (From those managing sports schedules to those preparing for the college transition!)
We understand that Sunday nights are the start of the week so in respect of everyone's time, we will end promptly at 7:30.
Meeting: In-person, Sundays from 5:30-7:30pm
