Parents of Teens

Sunday at 5:30 PM

Location: Ballston Quarter

About the Leaders:

If the rush of life and raising teens/tweens has you craving rest, join us for a brief respite on Sunday evenings from 5:45-7:15pm. We are looking for an opportunity to learn about how to create calm in ourselves and our family despite the relentless pull to hurry.

We’d love to connect with other parents while our teens are upstairs at youth group on Sunday nights. Grace has been our anchor community for years, and we’d love to get to know even more folks, especially other families with teens. We’re very social and want to create a casual but intentional opportunity for us to engage a great book!

About this Group:
Our group this fall will focus on one primary objective: helping each person develop a rule of life that fosters the kind of PACE for living that is conducive for spiritual growth and connectedness to Jesus. Recognizing hurry as a primary enemy of spiritual health, we'll be discussing what it looks like to practice the disciplines of solitude, simplicity, sabbath, and slowing. As part of the discussion, please purchase a copy of "Ruthless Elimination of Hurry" by John Mark Comer.

Meeting: Sundays, 5:30-7:15
